How do I book a room using Safe Stays?
Booking a room with Safe Stays is easy and straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide.
- Create an Account: When your agency registers, each employee will receive a unique Agent Login. Check your email for login details.
- Find a Hotel: Use the New Hotel Booking tab to search by city, neighborhood, zip code, or street address. Enter your check-in and check-out dates, and specify if you need an Alias Approved hotel. Results are sorted by distance and are updated every 10 minutes for accuracy.
Tip: Use the filters on the left side of the page to narrow down results or click on the map to view hotels based on location.- Alias Approved Hotels: Look for hotels with the Alias Approved badge if you need to check in under an alias. These hotels don’t require a government ID at check-in.
- Non-Alias Approved Hotels: Hotels without an Alias Approved badge will require the guest to use their real name and have a valid government ID at check-in.
- Check GSA Rates: Click View GSA Per Diem Rates to see the per diem rates for your location and dates.
- Book a Room: Click View Availability to check available room’s details, canceling policies, and rates. Click Book Now to reserve the chosen room.
Tip: For more info about the hotel, switch to the Hotel Overview view by clicking the hotel’s name or picture.- Alias Name and ID: If the hotel is Alias Approved and the guest is using an alias, the booking form will auto-generate a fake name, which you can modify by clicking Generate Alias Name.
- Customer ID: Optional field for agencies tracking clients with aliases. This information is not shared with the hotel.
- Agency Contact: Provide contact details for someone at your agency who can be reached if any issues arise.
- Expected Check-In Time: Include the guest’s estimated check-in time to help our team coordinate with the hotel. Early check-in is subject to availability.
- Service Animals: All hotels accept service animals as defined by the ADA, not including emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals. Fees may apply depending on the hotel’s policy.
- Pets and Emotional Support Animals (ESA): Guest’s traveling with pets or ESA’s will need an animal friendly hotel, which can be found in the amenities filter. There will be a nightly fee based on the hotel’s policy.
- Additional Notes: Use the notes field for special requests or important information about the guest, such as language needs or accessibility requirements.
- Booking Confirmation: You’ll receive an automatic email with the booking details.
