How The Grove Protects Client Privacy

When your agency uses The Grove, you can confidently search for and share shelter availability without compromising client privacy.

Here's how we protect the people you serve:

🔒 We don’t capture client identifying information.
The Grove only uses basic demographic info to help match clients with appropriate shelter beds—never names, birthdates, or other personal identifiers.

🧾 Agencies may choose to add internal client identifiers, but they cannot input client-specific information. This ensures coordination without risk of exposure.

📱 Text or email intake instructions are optional—and secure.
Some agencies choose to include contact details like intake phone numbers or links, but The Grove does not store the client’s phone number or email address.

📍 Confidential locations remain protected.
If your shelter or program operates at a confidential location, we recommend entering only the ZIP code, not the full address.

🧑‍💼 Screenings and intakes happen outside The Grove.
This preserves the direct client-to-provider connection that makes safe, trauma-informed placement possible—while keeping The Grove streamlined and secure.

The Grove was designed to support collaboration, not compromise safety. By focusing on essential data—and nothing more—we help agencies move quickly while maintaining the confidentiality their clients deserve.
